Enrichment Opportunities

At STM we offer an extensive range of enrichment opportunities. These opportunities enhance our personalised curriculum and allow all children to develop, embed and enrich the essential skills and knowledge they are learning in class. Pupils also make fantastic use of our beautiful grounds for outside learning and play.

These opportunities also allow our children to assess learning opportunities outside of the curriculum and teach them skills to help them to succeed in their futures. Some opportunities are whole-school initiatives, while others are focussed on class cohorts, small groups or individuals.

An example of some of the enrichment opportunities we provide are: workshops, visitors, library visits, working with local community charity groups, music tuition, extra-curricular clubs, visits to local secondary schools, specific year group education visits, cultural weeks, celebrating world faiths, a residential trip for Year 6 and many more!

In school we provide many enrichment opportunities such as: booster groups, visits from our local library, book club, many different after-school clubs, lunch clubs and sport clubs. We also value the importance of pupils attending Mass and liturgy, both at our local parish, St Hugh's, and in school. At special moments in the year, we celebrate whole-school Mass together (for example: Feast of St. Thomas More, Year 3 First Holy Communion, Year 6 Leavers).
